Carrot and Apple Juice[edit]

This fresh juice is bursting with vitamin C! But don’t worry if you don’t have a juicer, remove the apple cores and then use a blender or food processor to make a purée. Use a sieve to separate the juice from the pulp.


  • Preparation 5 mins

  • Serves 2


  • 4 apples (stalks removed) .
  • 3 carrots (scrubbed) .
  • squeeze of fresh lemon juice (optional)


  • small sharp knife.
  • chopping board.
  • juicer

1. Scrub the carrots and cut each one into 2 or 3 pieces. Remove the stalks from the apples and carefully cut them into quarters.


2. Put the apples and carrots through the juicer. Throw away the pulp and pour the juice into two glasses. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and stir the juice.


Helpful Hints[edit]

The lemon juice helps to preserve the vitamins in the juice and also brings out the flavour of the apple and carrot.
